  We went to Smile Starters in Fayetteville NC off of Walter Reed Rd. We were taking my son and daughter for a cleaning. I called ahead to make sure they were in network with my insurance. Not once did they say anything about x-rays. We went to the appointment he got his teeth cleaned. Fast forward two months...We get a bill in the mail for $65. Mind you, cleanings are Free under my insurance. I call in and they say it's for x-rays. The first problem is they took my son into an x-ray with out telling me. The response for that was yeah we usually don't say anything about that because we x-ray when we do the cleaning. The second problem is if they had told me they needed x-rays I could have gotten them from his previous dentist. The third problem is my daughter was also supposed to be cleaned that day, but had to have clearance from her doctor because of a previous surgery. They were supposed to call me when they received the fax from her doctor for clearance. They never called. I went up there to get a new form because I thought the doctor hadnt replied to the fax and low and behold he had replied three weeks prior. We're going back to our old dentist. He may have been out of network, but at least he was organized and very professional.
